Today I found out
One of my friends actually wasn't ignoring me, she was busy.
I'd meant to send her a text over Thanksgiving saying how grateful I was to meet my only my second friend I'd made in college.
Today I realized I hadn't sent it and so I did.
To which she responded with an apology and confusion. We'd jut gotten our wires crossed, apparently, and she wasn't mad at me. She was just busy af and I hadn't reached out to her...
I'm glad I reached out to her
Forgot to add the other two doodles from yesterday: An alternate whale/squid combination and a two-headed oarfish monster.
So during the semester, I work aftercare. Oftentimes later in the evening, there's nothing to do, as the kids are doing homework, so I like to draw in my sketchbook. Every so often, one of the 1st graders (it's ALWAYS the 1st graders) will come over and watch me draw, and eventually ask if they can draw something in my book. I think it's really sweet, although usually they lose interest halfway through a line.
