hey guys. did you know that jack kline
Vecna hurting Will in pt2 is obviously going to happen, and whilst I hate it I know it’ll be integral to both Will’s character development as well as Mike’s realisation of why he cannot say he loves El. I especially think Vecna will use Will and possibly Mike’s affections on him to hurt Eleven and make her feel alone to join him
I want an AU of death palette where the artist walks into the girls room like 10 seconds earlier and just saves her. And then they are happy.
Well I made the best discovery ever!
I was watching descendants 3 and in the song do what you got to do Cheyenne says “I steal souls, we’re you expecting flowers?” And in JATP CALEB STEALS SOULS
I just thought that parallel was really cool
New fic coming in like 30 seconds lol 😂
WHY THE FUCK IS HIS NAME AEGON
Headcanon: Shitennou part 1
For as long as I have been in this fandom the dynamics of the Senshi and the Shitennou have always interested me. One of the many reasons I find this two groups so fascinating is how drastically different they are from one another despite the fact they more or less have the same goals and objectives. On one hand you have the senshi who are totally devoted to Usagi/Sailor Moon/Serenity and would lay down their lives in order to protect her. More importantly, they are devoted and genuinely care for each other.
The Shitennou are on the other side of the spectrum! It doesn't really seem like they have concern for one another and to top it all of they turned on Prince Endymion which ultimately led to his death. Now I am not going to blame them entirely for the fall of the SilMil, but the did play a part. For me, being someone who was on the senshi side of the spectrum and understanding how much the girls genuinely love one another, I've wanted to understand why the Shitennou are so dysfunctional? What would make four men who were supposed to be the guardians of the Prince of Earth turn on him so quickly? What did they expect to happen and more importantly, were they ever truly loyal to Endymion?
As I began putting ideas for this muse together and reading their brief interactions with one another something occurred to me: Could it be possible that the Shitennou's original function wasn't to protect the Prince? And in fact, it was a new responsibility that they were not able to fulfill correctly because that wasn't their intended purpose? I know it sounds extremely odd, but hear me out:
We are told initially the Shitennou are known as the Four Heavenly Kings of Earth. Each of the Shitennou are given specific locations for their Kingdoms: Kunzite has the Middle East (which for me goes from the Fertile Cresent of Syria to the border of India), Zoisite Europe (From modern day UK to the Western half of Turkey), Jadeite the Far East and of course, Nephrite with North America. They were responsible for ruling these areas and ensuring peace and stability. From the way I have understood this, ruling these specific regions were initially their primary function. Probably in the even more distant past these regions were independent kingdoms that were conquered and consolidated together by an ancestor of Endymion. An example of this from history would be the Persian Empire. Persian Kings conquered a region but left the ruling elite intact to prevent uprisings against the empire. To ensure peace after an initial conquest makes sense. Even if these rulers were only so in name, making sure the territories of the Four heavenly kings were politically, economically and socially stable was critical to the newly developed Empire under Endymion’s family. So then I asked myself, how could individuals, whose purpose was to serve a region on behalf their ruler also function as a protector as well? Each had massive regions under their watch and I imagine going back and forth between their duties to their regions and the Prince would have been extremely difficult, if not impossible altogether.
Could it be possible that since the Earth was unified and under one Empire, the purpose of the Four Heavenly Kings became obsolete? And instead, their new primary responsibility was to protect the Prince of Earth? Given if enough time has past and the functionality of a specific role can be forgotten, it is possible. Referring back to the ancient world, the role of the Pharaoh of Egypt changed from the powerful sovereign over Egyptians vast territories, to a vassal to the ever growing Roman Empire. The role of the pharaoh and its function changed dramatically and was removed altogether during the Roman Empire.
It's hard to say forsure, if any of this is actual fact but in my next post, I'll give my explanation as to why this is plausible. Just keep this one thought in mind: You're more likely to be loyal to someone that you have known for an extended period of time.
