Doomah's people, tell us about them, what made them, are they half gods or full, what are they like when ruling their followers?
Domah in my story verse is a Nephil (plural Nephilim). Which basically means that his position is somewhere between a demigod and a half-angel. He lived originally before the Flood (biblical or otherwise, a lot of cultures have Flood Myths), and my original plan for him was that a number of his people would reincarnate into different human bodies throughout history until modern times. Now instead I'm focusing on that first life 10k+ years ago.
It's basically at the point in our own history that humans would have been doing small scale food cultivation but were still mostly in migratory groups as hunter-gatherers. With the Nephilim's fathers and the Nephilim themselves, this would have been sped quite a bit to people having knowledge of things that would have naturally shown up later.
Not all Nephilim were interested in ruling humans, and not all those who did were kind rulers. Domah and his allies would have been ... the kindest but they also each had their quirks about what "kindness" or "mercy" might look like.
The Nephilim were also often gifted with skills or knowledge based on their father's. Domah for example had an intuitive grasp of chemistry, especially that of metallurgy. One of his friends, Bebriel, understood both what we'd now call astronomy and astrology, in the sense that he'd know the actual physical realities of the cosmos but also what signs to look for in the sky regarding the timing of magic and rituals.
Credit where credit is due, many of the names for characters are taken from or based on names found in the Book of Enoch, and therefor come from Jewish sources (tho all translated into English). Bebriel is the only one that has an uncertain origin and I cannot find the list again that suggested the name or gave me the basic idea for his character. I also like the term Nephil(im) for the species because it does have some understanding behind it in reading circles, while still being less generic than either demigod or half angel.
