"Victory is life."
That one time Weyoun spoke Dominionese. You’re welcome.
Another Dominionese plaque:
“Fuck you and every clone of you.”
Thanks to @dominionese-resource for the translation!
I wish you guys could see these plaques in person because they are very sparkly. They just don’t photograph well with an old phone!
As always, commissions are open. PM if interested.
A neater copy of the handwritten character set, with an example sentence: Elai, Beiva Weiyun.
When writing on lined paper, the anchor lines can be omitted (though this can get a bit hairy to read).
Hizhat nizhama li.
"you reap what you sow," "we get what we deserve," or more literally, "we will receive our balance."
Can imply positive or negative consequences to actions or behavior.
Due to popular demand (and the fact that I think I’ve finally weeded out most of the stupid mistakes I made) I have made the entire lexicon available on the supplementary website for this project!
Feel free to use this resource, but if you do use it, please credit and link back to me.
I've made an update to the Dominionese font that makes it infinitely easier to use (though not perfect, by any means). If anyone would like anything written out, let me know.
I'm still fine tuning the font and trying to figure out how to make the file available for download, but it is based on Dominion by Tommy with the glyphs rearranged to be more intuitive and adjusted so that the consonants are more aligned (in the original, "ka" had a thicker line and was way lower than other consonants, and several consonants only existed in one orientation). More on this project in the future!
English:
I am First Omet'iklan, and I am dead. As of this moment, we are all dead. We go into battle to reclaim our lives. This we do gladly, for we are Jem'Hadar. Remember: victory is life.
Hadawa:
Senv Omet'iklan, kalir da. Mimir kalir darai. Uyai ika ak dar a'lirai zh’shoyu. Damir dan myei, Tchem'Hadar dan t’nor. Irem da — Lira Teizharem!
Daimei Vortawa:
