Don Braden Septet – After Dark (Album)

After Dark is a 1994 studio album by the American jazz tenor saxophonist Don Braden. Released on the Criss Cross Jazz label, the album presents a recording taken in New York City on January 5, 1993. Critically well received, After Dark is listed as one of the “Core Collection” albums in The Penguin Guide to Jazz.

The Pace Report: "Organix" The Don Braden Interview

Bandleader, educator, and composer Don Braden recently performed music from his brand new CD "Luminosity" with this Organix Quartet featuring Paul Bollenback on guitar, Jared Gold on organ, and Cecil Brooks III on drums at Club Bonafide in NYC. Special guest Sherman Irby, who also appears on the new CD, stopped by to play with the band.

Braden has been on the frontlines for well over three decades backing the likes of legendary artists like Freddie Hubbard, Betty Carter, Wynton Marsalis, and The Harper Brothers. He came on the jazz scene in the early 1980's as part of "The Jazz Lions" movement and has been a successful leader in his own right.
