Q. You were born in Dover, OK, and raised in Texas; So when did you leaveOkaholma and did you always live in Sacshe, Texas?
A. I left Oklahoma very young! I was probably around 1 when we left. And I've lived all over Dallas pretty much on every end! Lol
Q. If it wasn't for your online presense on youtube; do you feel you would be were you are now in your career?
A. No i don't. It was all God. I wasn't even trying to get signed so I know this is the way it was SUPPOSED to happen.
Q. Could you explain your experience working with Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox.
A. I love working with them. They are so talented and great to work with. JD pushes a lot more than Bryan, but it's just cause I'm HIS artist and he always wants to bring the absolute best out of me. Bryan is so sweet! We're both from Texas so i think we just have a different connection! Lol
Q. If you could work with any other artist who would it be?
A. I would have loved to work with Whitney Houston. I also love Melanie Fiona, Beyonce, Tank, and Jazmine Sullivan.
Q. If you wasn't doing music, what do you think you would be doing?
A. Well I was teaching before this and going to school for music education, So I would get my degree and become a voice coach.
Q. Most of us know you did go on tour with Trey Songz and Monica's for the "Passion, Pain, & Pleasure" Tour. Could you tell us, what did you learn from this opportunity and how did you get the chance to take part in this tour?
A. I enjoyed every minute of that tour. Trey was the best big brother I could ever have. I watch my show every single night and gave me pointers. I'll always love him for that. There are times when being the opening I obviously wouldn't get the same perks as he would but he always made sure i was good and gave me TONS of advice on everything from the crowd, to youtube, to life in general.
Q. How do you feel the internet has help unsigned or unheard artist?
A. Its great. It's the only way to reach millions of people all over the world. It's an amazing tool to use and capitalize with.
Q. Did you move to Atlanta to help your career or do you feel that Dallas just wasn't moving fast enough; even though most of your music was being produced in Atlanta?
A. Well as soon as I got signed, JD moved me out here and that was a wrap. I use to come back to Dallas more often than I do now because my parents were still there but now they've moved here to Atlanta as well and I'm a lot more busy. I miss Dallas though.
Q. If you had to do Gospel Music right now would you? I'm only saying that because you have the gospel background.
A. I definitely hold gospel music to my heart. And I do plan on releasing a gospel album later on.
Q. Explain why you feel your song, You're The One became so HOT?
A. I think it was just so relatable; it talked about real love and had people in their feelings about their mates/ex's. And it had that REAL R&B feel to it that a lot of people are missing. I know i am! Kinda churchy too; you know it made it on the christian charts?! LOL
Q. So, what are you currently working on; also when will it be released?
A. I'm finishing up my sophomore album which I'm soooooo excited about. We will be releasing a new song and new EVERYTHING very soon so stay tuned!!! :-)
