A diary entry for today, or some other day. I woke up past noon. I ran out of cigarettes so, even though it's a chore, I get changed and go to the convenience store. While I was there I bought a cup ramen for lunch and some alcohol. As I laugh wryly at the idiots on TV and absentmindedly follow the words that stream past on twitter, the sun begins to set. I just can't seem to work up the motivation to do anything. I make a tweet about how lethargic I feel. When I start to nod off I get an email from my boyfriend. "Why don't you ask your mother or consult psychosomatic medication about what's bothering you?" I respond. How kind of me. I leaf through my diary and try rereading it. What's this? I see. Now it has hit me. All that I've ever needed to write for entries past and future has been and will be this: "Today I have lived another day with earthly desires in hand. The end."
