Not that he didn’t mind matching her frills. It was just...well, he looked lame! Half of the party was dressed up like they were from Dragnor! Enemies or not, they looked so much cooler than he did.

Should a guard be sitting back on the front steps and relaxing like he was? No, probably not, but he didn’t really feel like there was any danger. Besides, Bibarel would sense it before he would, and he was fine.

“Never would’a thought I’d get a trigger finger. Family’s drownin’ in Starly. D’you like ‘em? I could get some for y’all too?”
