A Second Series Complete
Almost 3 years to the day that I completed my Mega Man series on the NES (July 14th, 2015) I put the wheels in motion (committing to buy Donkey Kong Jr. Math on the 3 year anniversary) to complete the Donkey Kong releases for the system. My recent pickup of Donkey Kong Jr. Math finishes off all of the Donkey Kong games that were available for this console.
Sure there are plenty of other “trilogies” on the system that I have ticked off the checklist like the Ikari Warriors games, Castlevania Trifecta and the 3 Double Dragon titles, but Megaman and Donkey Kong were a little more difficult and hold a place nearer and dearer to my heart so I wanted to highlight them here.
For me the hunt for these games began with the last one released when I picked up Classics in 2007, followed by the pair of Donkey Kong Jr. and Donkey Kong 3 in 2015, the one that started it all, Donkey Kong, in 2016 and culminating with the "addition” of Math here in 2018. An eleven-year adventure but worth every minute.
