♫ I like big bugs and I cannot lie… ♫ I like little bugs too… Who spends twenty minutes trying to take THAT perfect picture of a bug outside on a window screen? This is a damselfly… relative of the dragonfly, but smaller. Fascinating little creatures as they spend anywhere from two months to three years as a nymph, living in water, and then generally only a few weeks as a winged adult. The first photo reminds me of a piece of needlepoint with a big bug! She’s really only about 2” long… Picture number two shows her clutching on the window screen with a beautiful blue summer sky in the background.
