Why is it some people dont understand that human beings are complex. It seems to be the same people who dont think guys can be deep that believe they understand someone 100%. Like, no you dont because we are all individuals and just because we look a certain way or act a certain way doesn't mean anything, we have these things called brains and we choose what we share with the people around us, so regardless of how long you've known someone or how close you are to someone doesnt mean you really know everything that person is thinking or feeling. The person standing next to you may seem unimportant to you, but they have a whole backstory and a life, that doesnt include you. Just because someone's related to you or you live with them doesnt mean they tell you everything, people hide stuff for whatever reason, maybe because they think it's wrong, or because they think you wont understand or maybe they just dont want to tell you. Our thoughts, behaviors and believes are developed from our experiences and environmental factors, no two people can ever be the same. We develop and change overtime, and your never the same person you were only a few years ago. People are complex, and you cant deny it, there's no possible way to fully understand other's motives and reasoning for their choices and beliefs and you cant group two people together just because they may be related. Our brains make us people, they give us personalities and the ability to think critically and to choose such things as how we present ourselves. Genetics and environment are only pieces that connect to a bigger whole, and people are deep because they have individuality. Grouping is bad for people, but what's worse is thinking you understand and therefore have the right to judge someone else's beliefs, you can never comprehend what makes up a single person. You may know someone, but you only really know what they want you to, and even that can change over time. We are individuals, and we are complex.

I just wanted to share something I've always thought about, and no I did not write this to make you feel bad for me!

Some of you may or not know that I was raised by Russian immigrant parents, you could say I was a little different, but no I was not bullied.

But. I've went to multiple schools, including a rich kids school. And I was not bullied, but I was stereotyped a lot, my friends would laugh when I spoke Russian and joke about how I could be talking shit about them or sending a bomb and they wouldn't even know. Of course I didn't take it offensively, but I was still hurt.

Dont stereotype, people were afraid of me and assumed I was mean because I was Russian. (Unfortunately they still do)

Please dont stereotype, everyone is their own person.

Punk vs. Pop

I find it really funny how people who don’t listen to punk think that it’s all about Satan and drugs and getting drunk.

Hmmm.... and what is your pop music about again???

Blurred Lines is basically about rape and the virgin/slut dichotomy.... versus Hell and Back by Tonight Alive, which is about fighting your way to where you want to be.  

LYRICS: “I know you want it/you’re a good girl” VS. “I woke up everyday and smiled because I want to be alive”

Can’t Feel My Face by the Weeknd is about cocaine.... versus BFMV’s song You Want A Battle (Here’s A War), which is about a family suffering from an abusive father, and who finally decides they aren’t taking it any more.

LYRICS: “And I know she’ll be the death of me/at least we’ll both be numb” VS. “We will not take this anymore/these words will never be ignored”

 And Chandelier by Sia is about alcoholism, versus Pauley Perrette’s Fear, which is literally about how you need to face your fears.

LYRICS: “Help me, I’m holding on for dear life” VS. “To laugh when you feel like crying/to stand when you think you’re gonna fall/its just fear after all”

So, yeah, I’m sorry, but.... which one is sending out the wrong message again???? Cause I’m pretty sure its not the punk ones.

I don't hate anyone until they give me a reason. How someone is born is not a good enough reason to hate them. Generalisations and stereotypes only make the person doing the generalising and stereotyping look bad.
