Welp, I, uh... Um. I had time, and you wanted some fluff, and I tried my very best because it seemed like you were a little down. Apologies if it sucks, seriously, and I hope you have a good Christmas! c:

As far as Christmases went, this Christmas was turning out to be a good one. The snow was thick, and fluffy, not trampled to dirty sludge as per usual, and people's breath hung misty in the air in front of their faces. The festive season had crept up on everyone, and it was just starting to seem real; carol singers out and about, fresh mince pies being sold in every bakery, and best of all, the enormous, glittering tree that had been placed in the center of town. It looked to be an amazing Christmas this year.
Normally, he loved Christmas, practically worked himself up into a frenzy as it finally arrived. It was the one holiday Jim hated beyond measure, as well, and so he normally let Richard take over for almost an entire two weeks, without fail. He looked forward to it every year; as much as he loved Jim (because he /did/ love Jim... right?), it was nice to finally have some time to himself, to not have everything narrated by a little voice in the back of his head.
This year, however, had been different. It was Christmas Eve, already so very late, and there had been plenty of times when Jim had just pushed his way forward, shut Richard out completely so he couldn't even see, left drifting alone in the Nothing like a forgotten toy. against his, that familiar, smothering pressure, and with a saddened little He had no idea just what the other was doing, what he had been thinking, planning, possibly, and no idea what was being done with his body.
And he was sick of it.
He wanted to enjoy the holiday, wanted to take part in all the celebrations, not get shoved to the back of his own head, for goodness' sake! But every time he tried to speak to Jim, to try and work out just what the hell was going on, the other had just pushed him away, taken over again without a word of explanation, and by this point, poor Richard had just given up. What was the point, after all?
Well, at the very least, he could... No, not even that! He could feel the shove of Jim's consciousness sigh, Richard let Jim take the reigns again. After all, it was only Christmas Eve. Nothing special. It wasn't like he wanted to wake up on Christmas morning, all himself, and pretend, just for a few weeks, that he was normal.

It was, then, a surprise to wake up the next morning, to stare at the familiar ceiling above a familiar bed from his very, very familiar body. Sitting up with a frown, Richard rubbed at his eyes, trying to work out just what was going on. He was very much here... And it was very much quiet. Or rather, it wasn't quiet, so much as there being a sense of Jim actually shutting up for once. That was strange in itself.
It was when he finally looked around his room that he understood, knew exactly what Jim had been doing in the run up to the 25th, and a smile split his face in two, grin stretching up to his ears. Sat in the center of his bed, neatly wrapped and set down, was a package; heavy to the touch, but not particularly large, and the wrapping was immaculate. And then, finally, there it was, the little whisper he found he'd almost been missing.
Well, go on, then. Open it.
With a little laugh, he reached for the present, running his thumbs over the glossy paper before he pulled gently at the edges, but his mind was elsewhere.
"So this is what you've been doing? Why you've barely let me out?"
I could hardly let you see, could I? I wanted it to be a surprise.
"What is it?"
Oh, for heaven's sake, just open the damned thing.
Doing as he was told obediently, Richard pulled off the paper, mouth dropping open slightly as he saw what it was. In his lap sat a beautiful, leather bound copy of Grimm's Book of Fairytales; the exact copy he'd been coveting for months, and had never managed to save up enough to buy for himself.
write about rich and seb going ice skating and/or doing fun wintertime things
// With pleasure, hope you enjoy it! //
When Rich started pouting, he never stopped so soon. Sometimes he locked himself up in his small room and just sat on the bed and stared into nothing.
And this time he tried his best not to cry. Sebastian promised. He had promised, when Jim was away, on some trip to Hong Kong he would take Rich to the ice rink and then they could go ice skating after that maybe they would drink a mulled wine.
Richard had been excited, like he ever was when he got the chance to spend time with Sebastian. And even the best thing was that Jim nodded and gave his okay. But now?
Sebastian had forgotten. He went to some friend. He told Rich he wouldn’t take long, just to take a look at a bike, and then they could go. But Richard didn’t believe it anymore. Sebastian had been out since two hours and it got dark.As soon as Rich tore his gaze from his bookshelf, he looked outside and could just cry.It started snowing.
He hoped Seb would come home soon; it was dangerous to drive now, especially when outside some sort of snowstorm was going on.
He decided to wait on the windowsill from where Richard could look on the street to see if Seb was arriving.
Sebastian Where are you? :( RB
On my way kitten. SM
Drive carefully! RB
Sure. SM
Now the ice rink was probably closed now, Richard sniffed. He tried not to be angry of Sebastian or scream at him or maybe even worse cry in front of him.
Richard hated it, when he started crying in front of Sebastian, it made him look weak and pathetic, everything Jim hated.
He made himself a tea and sat again on the windowsill, watching the snow falling. He did that with Jim so often, when they were kids and then they had run outside and made snow angel and had snowball fights just all the fun stuff and now Rich was an adult and everything was boring.
Jim and Seb never had time for fun stuff like this. Then his phone buzzed and there was a text from Sebastian.I’ll bring something nice :) SM
Richard didn’t reply, he drank out his tea and waited. Finally, eventually and after ages, it seemed to Richard like this, Sebastian was finally at home. He shook his head and made some snowflakes fall on the floor.
Richard looked at him, quietly, from his place and Seb sighed, biting his lip. “Sorry Rich.. Sorry. I haven’t forgotten. This guy, he kept me longer, asking stuff… It was important..” He sighed and Richard was still silent.
Then Seb remembered his surprise. “Look… Outside isn’t much going on…” He smiled encouragingly at him. “Let’s go outside, make a snowman… And then… Drink some mulled wine..” He got the bottle out of his big coat and Richard blinked. “R...Really?” Was the first sentence Richard addressed now to him and Seb just nodded. “Of course, kitten.” He said softly and chuckled then looked at him. “God, dress warmly and then we are going out on the streets.” He laughed.
And Richard nodded, smiling broadly and hugged Sebastian. “Yes… Yes! I would love that…” He put on his scarf, a warm jacket, and gloves and Sebastian just laughed at him. “Aah... you look cute..” He smiled and Richard blushed while Seb put him a hat on and patted him.
“Let’s go...” and they went outside, Rich was the first outside, forming a snow ball and throwing it in Seb’s direction, who was just doing the base ball for the snow man. It flew close over his head and Seb raised an eyebrow. “You want war, kitten?” He chuckled.
Richard just laughed and then a snowball hit him on the right arm. “Heeey!” He protested, scrunched down and tried to form another one, but Seb was faster and threw another, which hit Rich right on the ass.
“SEB!” Rich squeaked and jumped to him, attacked him a bit and Seb lost his grip and they fell on the soft snow cover.
Seb made a sound, sounding like “Unff..”
And Richard smiled a bit at him. “Gotcha...” He chuckled and looked at him, bending down and still stared at him.
“Y… Yes… Yes you did.” Seb laughed but still recovering form his fall. “Well done…” Seb gave him a small kiss on the forehead.
Rich blushed and then shivered.
Seb frowned. “Kitten.. Are you cold?”
“N… Noooo!” Richard protested but Seb didn’t believe him just rolled his eyes.
“Rich let’s get you inside. I don’t want you freeze to death..” He muttered and got up, helping Richard to do so too.
Richard mumbled something into his scarf but let Seb lead him inside, peeling him out of his layers and sitting down in the kitchen, getting the mulled wine warm and then handing him a cup of the wine and sitting next to him.
After a couple minutes of silence Sebastian muttered out. “Sorry I was late…”
And Richard nodded, smiling a bit. “Are we going to watch The Beauty and the Beast?” Seb rolled his eyes, let out a laughter. “If you wish..”
Richard frowned at his mobile for a second, and then his face cleared like the sky after a storm, and he started scribbling with his index finger over the touchscreen, a little smile playing over his lips.
"I don't get it," said Sebastian from the other end of the couch, looking up from his book to peer over Rich's shoulder. "If you and Jim are like... two parts of the same person?"
"Alters," said Rich absentmindedly.
"Right, alters... how do you play games together? You can't both be there at the same time."
"Exactly," said Richard, as his score popped up on the screen with a ding. He gathered his legs up to hug against his body on the couch and slipped the phone back into his pocket. "I don't have much memory of what he does when he's out, so he can take his turn then. And you know we've got different mobiles; there's no way he'd let me touch his."
"Alright, then," said Seb, turning it over in his head. It made as much sense as anything else about this situation, he supposed.
"Besides, I do enjoy how soundly I can beat him at Draw Something."
"Yeah, well," said Seb with an affectionate smile. "I hear he kicks your arse in Mafia World."
