#OnThisDay September 7, 1984 @MercyfulFateHQ released their second studio album #DontBreakTheOath. MERCYFUL FATE could do no wrong during their first three releases, with two classics in tow with their debut ep and “Melissa” album, this release likewise joins that accolade. This release would be the last of this prime line up as drummer Kim Ruzz would not be around when the band reunited in 1993. “Don’t Break The Oath” saw the band headline their first US tour. One notable was seeing Mercyful Fate at the Kabuki in San Francisco in a WILD show and bringing out @metallica for the encore. Then the band would support @officialmotorhead in the US with @exciterband also on the line up.
