WE the LGBT people

I came out in the 90s and during that time we still did not have equal rights or any rights and it was hard to be who we are. I respect the people that came before me. The ones that had to fight and hide so totally who they were. The new generation coming out are now coming out where marriage equality is legal throughout the states. There are those that still fight against us and as a community we need to come together and fight those battles. We need to show the world that together we are unbeatable. That together we are a force of nature. Doing this, we have to be a community and as a community we need to stop tearing each other down. We have cute names to classify each other; Twinks, Bears, Otters, Wolves, Lipsticks, butch, fem and many more. The most important title we have is community. So the next time you see someone up at the bar that's older, younger, feminine, masculine, overweight, tall, short, or any other adjective, they are part of our community and we have all went through similar situations in our lives. We have had people be so cruel to us just because they considered us different. We really need to stop being cruel to each other for the same reason. Remember, we are a community and our community needs to come together to protect, support and love each other. Let's show the people rooting for us to fail that we will not go quietly into that good night. That we will stand up and protect each other. What you do to one of us, you do to us all. As a community, when we come together to protect each other, we will make Hell seem like your happy place. Love you all
