“ jenni, look!!” raelynn pressed her face up against the glass of the store, tapping to point at the mini christmas tree she had found. she had really wanted to get a tree but with her living situation, she really wasn’t sure if it was even worth it. so, she was determined to convince jenni to get one for the both of them. “ i know you’re staying with someone else right now, but you should get that mini christmas tree for your room! isn’t it cute?” she smiled, turned back to her friend. “can we get it and i can help you decorate it? pretty please?”

“so... remember when i told you i had a crush on someone...?” ace scratched the side of his cheek sheepishly, leaning back in their kitchen stool. “i may or may not have went on a date with them the other day, tae...”

out of all of his employees, roland had to say; chris had ironically annoyed him the LEAST. he minded his business, and roland minded his. he didn’t pester roland about stupid requests like andy and tk. and he certainly didn’t seem like he was pinning to hang out with him outside work anytime soon. roland liked to think that the two were... alike, in some ways.

today when he came into work, he was reminded of the others’ presence as he was the only one in the store. one of those knuckleheads had called out, so it had just been him and chris that day. why did i run a store full of idiots? he came out from the back of the store and approached chris with a yawn. “chris, did you check the back for any new packages?” roland had nagged all his employees every day about the same old routine. it was just him checking up on them to see if they actually did shit when he’s not here in the mornings sometimes. “and did you do a sweep of the store yet? all the clothes from yesterday are folded, right?” sometimes he could tell when chris was annoyed and he was sure this was one of those moments. “and smile a bit. i think you’re scaring all the customers away. we haven’t gotten a customer in over an hour.”

“ tae !!” ace had hopped on over to his roommate, dressed in a rather ‘nerdy’ outfit. he was sporting overalls and a striped shirt, along with glasses and his hair neatly put up in a suave manner. “ do you think i look cute? i think i’m going to try a different look from now on. i feel like people will find me cuter if i dress like this. do you think so?” and by people, he had meant bb especially but he didn’t want to seem like he doing this just for him. in a way, ace had wanted to change something about his life. since it was the holiday season, toys r us was packed every day and he came home from his shift being extremely tired. he felt like he didn’t have time for anything anymore and he missed his friends dearly. he missed bb dearly. “i look really smart, right? ask me a math equation, i dare you. i bet i can answer within 5 seconds !”

jun was in a bit of a situation--- while working at his art studio, someone broken the wheels of his bike. he wasn’t sure if it was someone he knew or a random stranger; though probably just a rebellious kid who felt like being an asshole. here he was, sitting on the curb of the street as he waited for jaxon to pick up the phone. no answer. the elder boy must’ve been at work still. he remembered the man mentioning something about getting extra shifts these days but jun had just forgotten the days he’s mention. he wanted to call sunny, but then sunny would worry about him too much and he didn’t want to make the boy worry anymore than he had to. and joshua? well, he figured joshua was probably busy with that boyfriend of his. he really could’ve just walked home but by foot, it was a bit of a long walk. maybe he could just get a taxi...would his bike fit in the trunk though?

his thoughts were interrupted by a certain voice he heard behind him--- who was it? it was no other than raven, who seemed to be concerned by his gloomy state. jun couldn’t tell whether to be embarrassed at his childlike behavior, perched on the curb and almost seeming as if he was waiting for his ‘mom’ jaxon to pick him up or if he should just be embarrassed in general from how horrible his broken bike looked. “raven.” the boy greeted, refusing to look up at him. “what are... what are you doing here?”

ace noticed something while living in the apartment--- while obviously, him and joshua had been the closest in the small space, he hadn’t known tae all that well to begin with. sunny and him seemed to get along just fine, but tae had just seemed to be mysterious to him. he couldn’t figure out how someone could be so polite all the time; so composed. he wondered if the other had ever gotten mad before. no one is THAT nice, ace was convinced. he decided to test his theory. let’s see if tae will get mad.

so that morning, ace had been hiding behind the kitchen counter, hoping the scare the living shit out of his roommate ( with a leftover cheap halloween mask on ) and when he jumped out to scare tae, he ended up slipping on the slippery floor and crashing down in front of him. “agh...” he slipped the mask off and above his head, rubbing his cheek. “unbelieve-bubble. how hard is it to scare someone? tell me you were at least a little bit scared?”
