Don't Get To Close, It's Dark Inside || Bambi and Camden

Being a police officer wasn’t easy, and Camden had never really understood what people meant whenever they said working in the police force was a stressful position until he was already there. Joining the police academy had been something the boy had decided on at a really young age, however, it was days like today that he wished he’d gone with an easier career. Stress relief was something they highly stressed on the police force and Camden had found more than one solution to ease his stress. The man found himself bar hopping on weekends, and also - as of a few months ago at least - meeting with drug lords on the corner was his new thing as well. Camden knew that if he ever got caught, he would get himself into a lot of trouble, but honestly it was a risk he knew he didn’t mind taking. He’d kept this a secret, no one knew about it, and the thought of disappointing his family was something that had scared him from the beginning, however, that didn’t stop him from doing it, in fact, the thought of knowing that he wasn’t all that his parents hoped he would be actually made him kind of happy. 

On this night in particular, though, Camden could feel that something was definitely different. The night air seemed to be more crisp than he usually remembered, and even though he was used to these walks, he wasn’t really sure what was going on, but he knew something wasn’t right. He pulled the pack of cigarette’s out of his pocket, bringing one to his lips as he inhaled, lighting it. Smoking was another bad habit that Camden had picked up, and even though the man had just spent the past hour injected cocaine into his system, but, he figured he might as well enjoy his walk with a little bit of nicotine. As he exhaled, he allowed himself to smirk, pretty happy with way he was feeling. Unfortunately for him, Camden had no idea what was about to happen to him. 

Before he knew it, he was on the ground, and even though he wasn’t completely alert, the boy could hear noises, but they all seemed distant. The boy wasn’t sure what was happening, but he knew he didn’t like it. Before too much longer, he heard a voice, and it sounded close, but the boy wasn’t able to respond. He only hoped that the girl would see that he needed help, and that she’d be smart enough to help him through it.
