What a doof #myson #dogstagram #mastiffsofinstagram #canecorso #intactdog #dontmutilateyourdog #maledog #sleepingdog #dontlectureme #neuteringisabuse #is2g #shutup #responsiblepetparent For real tho, if I have another ill informed jerk asking me why my son still has testicles Imma be mad. Yes pet overpopulation is a problem in most places. Do you know that the US is the ONLY country that advocates for de-sexing ALL pets? It isn't standard procedure anywhere else, also isn't healthier -- which healthier as an argument from an evolutionary standpoint makes 0 sense anyway -- it is unduly disrupting the normal endocrine functions of your pet and by that very nature cannot be healthy for them. If I hear one more person say "he will get testicular cancer if he has them, but the risk is eliminated if he is neutered" -- why yes, it is statistically impossible to get cancer in organs or tissues that you no longer possess. But your statistics are way off, your fear mongering is BS, his risks of other cancers from disrupted endocrine function far surpass any mitigated risk. Also, he exhibits none of the behavioural problems they claim neutering fixes. So there is no reason to do it to him. I keep close watch on my dog, stop profiling my boy and thinking he's mean or promiscuous because he isn't de-sexed!!! FFS #rant (also while we are at it can we pls stop referring to de-sexing animals as "fixing" because that normalization has got to go). If you want to tell me that responsible pet owners neuter/spay their pets, then I will tell you that neutering and spaying your pets without actual medical cause is straight up animal abuse.
