I was recently told from my employer that I cannot have earrings in my ears if I wanted to receive a promotion.  Keep in mind that I do not have plugs or anything outrageous; I have a couple small earrings.  I have been with the company for over five years!  They keep coming up with things that I need to change in order to be moved up within the company, but in the end I do not think that anything will ever happen within the company.  

I have been told all of my life that I need to be something or someone different, that being me was not right.  I do not believe this and I refuse to let my employer try to make me feel this way again.  I am me and that is the greatest accomplishment ever!
