It is important to know whether or not someone is asleep before you try to photograph yourself with them. If they are not asleep, they may notice, which may decrease your chance of making friends with them and therefore decreases your chance of being able to take pictures of them sleeping again.
Let's use our first test subject:
This man is starved and aggressive. However, he is human, and within a few hours will be forced to settle down somewhere comfortable to sleep for awhile. Wait patiently and observe his behavior; it should be relatively obvious when he is going to enter the "sleep-phase."
Ah, here we are.
Excellent, now he is asleep.
Listen for sounds of even mouth-breathing to be sure he is asleep. Then, position yourself next to the man, hold out your camera, make sure your face is in frame, and take a snapshot.
Many people are often not asleep. Watch of for this.
This man is not asleep. You can tell because his left eye is open. His right eye is also slightly open, but he is covering most of it with his eyelid because he is trying to trick you.
Watch out for diversions:
With finely tuned senses, you should be able to avoid them.

I think that wraps it up. Thank you for reading my introduction. Hopefully I have given you a little bit better of an understanding of what I do. Have a great day!
