I’m getting very frustrated that the same people who are calling the Wives and the Vuvalini ‘inaccessible’ are the same people who are combing through IMDB and literally 80 frames of screentime to pick out names and screengrabs of particular walk-on level Warboys.

And they seem to make up a huge percentage of the dug-in fandom (IE people who are still talking about the movie), meta fanart gushing warboysona meta fanart squeeing over poor ickle warboys!!!

Please lay me the fuck to die, this is a cruel joke, this is why I’m never going to fucking believe people whining about ‘well, how can you expect us to do the author’s job for them? to make bad-written female characters more than they are?’

probably because since the dawn of fandom that’s what fandom has been doing to bit-part literally throw-away male characters, even in media that is bursting at the seams with named, important female ones.
