Work is annoying why can't I just sit down relax and read or watch something. After sleeping for only four hours in three days I have some really Manhua recommendations (I hope people read it)

1.) Pearl Boy (complete) (pls don't go on the name it has one of the most amazing plot lines also there are trigger warnings plus it is BL) (18+)

2.) Jinx (Ongoing) (BL, right now it is kind of hot) (18+)

3.) Villains are destined to die (Ongoing) (the story building is really amazing, one of my favourites)

4.) Omniscient reader (Complete light novel, ongoing on webtoon) (People who like to read adventure stuff this is for you)

5.) S Class Hunters (ongoing) (another banger)

6.) Baby Tyrant (ongoing) (honestly right now it is kinda cute)

7.) Doom Breaker (ongoing) (sent back in time after death, amazing actins scenes)

8.) Papa Wolf and the Puppy (ongoing) (the cutest wholesome manhua)

9.) He and I can't do it (ongoing) (BL, they fight a lot) (18+)

10) our paradise (ongoing) (BL, another wholesome)

Webtoons' Doom Breaker & Silmarillion

So rather randomly, I am really, really missing the Silmarillion fandom, specifically Maedhros x Fingon ship. I have a type when it comes to ships I like and they generally tend to favour childhood friends to lovers who support each other through thick and thin.

Obviously, there are exceptions. My love of Dimitri x Byleth is > Dimitri x Felix, although you could say my stubborn love of Sylvain x Ingrid over Sylvain x Mercedes is because of my childhood friends bias.

But generally speaking, I lean towards childhood friends who turn out to be soulmates type ships. So yeah, Maedhros x Fingon was my favourite ship from the Silmarillion and I always wanted to write a fix-it for them.

I did start writing a fix-it fic for them but I got busy and never finished. But since I have started reading Webtoons' Doom Breaker, which is a pretty great action fantasy. But is also an "original" fix-it story.

Doom Breaker begins at the end of a story where the protagonist loses. He's the last human standing and with his death, the God of Destruction essentially succeeds in destroying the world. The protagonist is then sent back to a point when he first got caught-up in the big happens of the world. But now he had the advantage of what he knew of the future and also, he got blessing and gifts from the Gods of his world. Gods who had seemingly turned away from humanity in the original timeline.

Now you can see why I have always imagined a Doom Breaker style fix it, but applied to the Silmarillion. I mean, its always heavily implied that while the Noldo elves and people like the Children of Hurin are cursed and marching to pre-destined doom, there is always a chance they could cheat their doom if only they actively worked on some character flaw or just renounced some vow and repented. But of course, the characters, especially the Sons of Feanor, never repent and thus live out a tragedy.

However, the story of Silmarillion kind of invites thinking about whether a single character who knew how the story was going to unfold and was had some truly world breaking powers could change the course of history.

Of course, the reason Silmarillion can't be "fixed" is because it does have a good end. Morgoth loses and the world enters a new era. The song of life goes on, while in Doom Breaker, the song ended and so there was no other option but to go back and try some different notes.

I don't really have a point to this. It's just something I have been thinking about while I see what's new the Maedhros x Fingon fandom!

Why hello there-i wanna hear about the thing you like (referencing the post you reblogged) uh I don't know anything about it so yeah yap away!

DOOM BREAKER !!!!!

Its a webtoon and I just recently read through the whole thing again AAAA its so good the art is phenomenal, the pacing is satisfying and easy to follow, the characters r Epic, the plot starts out similar to other webtoons I've read but its different enough that it doesnt bother me one bit

Its a fantasy rpg (?) kinda story and the main character Zephyr goes back in time after he dies to prevent the end of the world :] the two different timelines are easy to tell apart and its rlly interesting when Zephyr has to deal with something he didnt encounter in the first timeline. Unreliable narrator at its finest. He doesnt know EVERYTHING that happens and in coming back and saving people that hadn't lived as long before, hes changing things exponentially and AAOAAAAA im excited for season 3 to come out hopefully soon bc i love this webtoon sm.
