it’s time for me to rant about ai. because this is pissing me off. people don’t realize how this is ruining society. as of recent, i see ai assistance that nobody asked for on websites that don’t need it.
my aunt and uncle are having their designers use ai to create logos for their customers. your designer isn’t fucking designing. when i said that she went into the details about how you have to learn how to work and coach the ai. and that’s another thing, you are apart of the problem. you support AI by humanizing it like you do. you give your customers designs that you didn’t make, why should they be paying you to talk to a fucking robot when they could do it thenselves. they used ai to make a coloring book about online safety for children… make that make fucking sense. i told her that as an artist, a musician, and a writer that ai is hurtful, and is destroying careers and she said that i just need to learn how to deal with it, and that’s another thing it is taking over and there’s nothing i can do. again, as an artist, her saying that to me really hurts. she compared the invention of the internet to the invention of ai. i don’t fucking stand for this. i went to an event with her and she told her whole audience (of artists) how her company uses AI and humiliated me in front of the whole audience by starting the sentence with “my niece here won’t like this… but”.
your designer is not a designer if he is having “ someone” someTHING rather else do it for him. do not humanize the ai.
another thing, Youtube’s ai. tomorrow, with the introduction of youtuber’s ai algorithm. 1. you aren’t helping the kids 2. you are using a robot to censor everything you can 3. tomorrow we boycott. as many of you as possible, don’t use youtube. i know we can’t get all traffic off of the site but your contribution makes as difference no matter how small you think it is. we have to let them know that we don’t stand for this and that truly NOBODY ASKED.
one last thing. i checked my school’s bulletin board to see this message. when i tell you i wish i could report school posts.
the fact that they are advertising a thing like this to not just person, or a group, but an ENTIRE ART SCHOOL is absolutely fucking shocking to me. do they realize what they’ve done? they are giving artists the opportunity to work with the thing that is going to diminish the fact that we are artists in the first place. kali perrachia, i don’t know who you are but i have to let you know that i hope nobody went to your stupid little “innovative” “exciting” event. again i ask: who asked for this? who is your intended audience? make this make sense
as a conclusion;

ai is not your tool
ai is not here to help you, despite how friendly it wants to sound.
ai is a figurative nuke.
