starting vampires pyro and apo with human scott (and owen but i will talk about him later)
mostly inspired by ram mentioning "pyro is sire" in the era duo gc. swap aus are like hard drugs to me i couldnt hold myself back for long. (i might redo these designs btw the world kind of exploded when i was halfway through them)
pyro - a vampire who uses their immortality to play record keeper. they heard of magical activity (witches coven and the church working together to make the beacons) in the oakhurst area and came to invesigate. pyro planned to stay fully neutral and just observe the outcomes but ended up being sealed inside the crypt beacon cave. putting himself to sleep to stave off hunger, he is awoken 400 years later by the new arrivals in oakhurst.
apo - part of a vampire coven specifically focused on combating other fantastical creatures and magic users. chased out of said coven after committing apart "treason". she seeks quiet refuge in the (not for long) abandoned oakhurst.
scott - rich boy whos family owns the lands oakhurst was built on. visiting to both survey the land and to find the hidden secrets of his lineage in the destroyed castle.
i really wants to explore the idea of how the beacons were made with this. my ideas are that people noticed the land of oakhurst was cursed years ago and made the beacons to combat it.
apo coming to the land with these magical beacons as a way to both hide herself from her previous coven and maybe. if she so chose to prove herself to them again
pyro attempting to just see whats going on and instead getting trapped for 400 years. keep lacking those survival instincts failboy. the witches that trapped him probably assumed he would have committed the 400 years massacre (lie. they wanted to chill)(ties into canon pyros themes of being perceived as a monster).
scott in this au is obviously turned by pyro. i imagine pyro just wants to record whats going during this rebuilding of oakhurst (obviously they would know of the 200 years massacre trend) and dont intend on interfering with the course of history. however, they get caught in the woods alone with scott.. and are just so hungry from 400 years of sleeping they kill him in an instant.
scott would actually like being a vampire (as per canon hes still a child born out of wedlock). pyro would feel bad about turning scott and try to make it up to him by doing his bidding and all that (thinking about a scenario where pyro calls scott "sir" and its misinterpreted as "sire" by the humans. smile)
pyro would be 700-800 (including sleeping time) and apo would be just over 200. keeping a similar dynamic to owen and scott as canon starting vampires.
apo was picked as the other starting vamp because she was also turned by scott (the oldest). also. how funny if both roommates are vampires to start off.
