anyways im coping by drawing my interpretations of the doom 3 protags. which I guess could count as ocs? I know doomguy ocs are a thing and I guess these guys could count as those

anyways i know i made a post bout these dudes awhile ago but i’ve tweaked a few things since then! more info under the cut

for context, my hc for doom 3 is it takes place a century or two after the og doom games, and 2016 and eternal takes place in a different dimension. The ancient martian civilzation mentioned in doom 3 is actually the sentinels of that world, and they and the maykrs were wiped out during the war they had. what remained of the sentinels fled to earth and yeah

anyways Grimm is the protag of the base game! he’s the most friendly of the bunch and is generally a kind person. His name is based off the protag of the doom movie, John Grimm, cause that movie is roughly based off doom 3 and grimm is kinda a cool name. He is the most aware of the fact that a lot of the demons hes fighting used to be humans. also He is a clone of the og doomguy, but he is currently unaware of this fact

next is Roe! hes the protag of resurrection of evil and his name is based off the abbreviation of the name. he is by far the most abrasive of the bunch and lowkey an asshole. hes really smart though! he’s an ex-marine engineer hired by the UAC because of his interest in the history of the martian society. He blames himself for the death of his squad since he was the one that took the artifact.

finally is Lane, protag of Lost Mission. his name is based off one of the two said in the cutscene before bravo squad gets Got by the imps. He is the leader of bravo squad and technically the highest ranked out of the trio. The imp attack left him with injuries on his arms and he lost his eye. He’s the most stoic of the bunch, but does care deep down. hes also the reason grimm and roe aren’t constantly at each other’s throats cause those two cannot get along at all. he’s also a direct descendant of the sentinels that escaped to earth!
