NightLight Sans's Origins [ Kinda ]
I was inspired to do this one after I saw @evaundertale do this for their oc Sugar
Also because I already made a post long ago about his birth and such so this origin will start when he's a toddler

Nightlight was a quiet and shy child growing up. Though that is probably because his dads Nightmare and Error wanted to have him stay in the castle until he was older because they wanted to keep him safe. For a long time the only people he knew besides his parents where the bad sanses and his uncle Dream. Dream would come over frequently to look after his nephew while Nightmare and his team would leave to do missions and things like that. Nightlight got most of his personality from his uncle believe it or not manly do to the fact Dream was always there for him and would look after him. That would also explain the fact he is peaceful and would never fight unless it's absolutely nessasary. His powers are interesting you see he doesn't have any of his parents powers besides teleportation and opening portals. Besides those two powers he has the ability to harness the negative energy in the air ( or if there is none he would harness moonlight energy ) and send it back out in the form of a crescent shape projectile and his other ability is to admit a blue glow that lights up the immediate area surrounding him ( this only happens when he's in the dark or if it's night ).
When he got older he was able to venture out and able to go with his dad's team on missions. And on one of those missions he met Sugar the son of Lust and Blueberry Sans. At first he was extremely shy but he slowly warmed up to him and they started to get to know eachother. By the time they became friends they did eventually have to go their separate ways with Nightmare going and taking his son home with the rest of his team.
Over time they hanged out more and more and became even closer. Nightlight also helped Sugar when he was getting use to his new dad Horror. He also helped Sugar taking care of baby Bloodberry who was the youngest of his siblings.
After the situation with Rue started he was there trying his best to help Sugar find Rue while also juggling between helping take care of Bloodberry. They did find Rue but what happened he did not know since when it happened he was watching over little Bloodberry.
~His Future~
As of now with regarding his future self Nightlight has gotten better with controlling his ability to make portals to different Au's. He is also happily engaged with Sugar [ and yes Sugarlight is cannon ]. During this time he had three beautiful children. The oldest of his kids is Nayru, the Princess of Love with her ability to see the relationships between people and see they're love.She can also sense when someone's significant other isn't honest or loyal in which she'll confront them and help the one who was cheated on find someone else. And yes she's also able to help people find love.His second child is Plum, who uses crutches or a wheelchair to move around do to not having a right leg ( it's been like since birth so don't worry it wasn't from a injury or accident ). Plum has the ability to help people sleep and usually helps her mom Nightlight with his duties or her uncle Dream. Then comes the youngest of the three kids Hugo. This sleepy baby bones hasn't developed his powers yet but it's believed that his powers might be linked with dreams. He is a baby that wants nothing more then love and affection so you'll usually see him cuddled into someone who is holding him in their arms. He is blind in his left eye since birth so he wears a eyepatch.
~Extra info~
Nightlight has visited other Multiverses before do to his portals sometimes sending him into a completely different au that he wasn't trying to go to ( like for example opened portals to go to Underswap but the portal takes him to Underfell instead ). Though in those accidents he met his two half sisters Stardust and Color Code. You see before Nightmare and Error were together Nightmare dated Cross and Error was dating Ink. Those relationships resulting in his two older half sisters. He was of course confused at first not fully understanding but he was also pretty excited when he found out he had siblings.
Another thing regarding Multiverses was the time he ended up falling through a portal he made and ended up in a different Multiverse's Anti void. While he was there he met versions of his parents and also met his brother Doomsday. They do share a few things in common mostly it's the shyness and not being very talkative.
He still visits his half siblings and his brother ( who's from a different Multiverse ) regularly and he also takes his kids with him sometimes so they can visit them
