QUESTIONS YOU HAVE ABOUT MY MUSE

this is one of those questions where i could honestly argue either way, so i’ll just put all my thoughts on it together and then... maybe try and come to some final answer at the end.

i think there’s a lot of good counter arguments to why he actually can’t ( eg. how would you SURVIVE / wouldn’t that spell be more powerful than Meteor itself / wouldn’t that render his entire goal meaningless? ) and i totally understand all of that really. i remember seeing someone once say that the supernova spell was more like a projection into your mind of what he could do; that his power could be capable of crushing planets just to get to you. that his strength, in theory, could do it. but it doesn’t actually happen. 

i actually really liked that theory because it plays into sephiroth as a great manipulator of the mind / of visions, which is something that gets forgotten amongst his “op-ness” usually referring to his physical power and strength. he plays mind games and he’s very good at them, the ability to project something that damning ( i mean, really if someone put the image of planets being fucking obliterated into your brain you’d probably freak out ) right into your mind so intensely that you believe it to be real. 

however, how fucking cool would it be to actually just flex like that? honestly... it’s cool points. i think he definitely is capable of power that strong, but whether or not it’s used quite how it is in the game mechanics, i’m not sure... it seems to defeat the purpose of meteor if it’s a real spell and not a vision. but then if it’s a vision WHY DOES IT KNOCK YOU DOWN SO MUCH IN HP ??? 

honestly, just because i am biased as hell, i’m gunna say it’s real but maybe also a vision at the same time. perhaps it’s a real comet, that does blast through the milky way, but it does not ravage planets quite the same way. the projection of the power it does could be a mirage, i dunno. 

i realise i didn’t answer the question and i’m sorry, i’m gay and stupid. he can destroy planets if he wants to, as a treat.

And the “good news” they’re preaching is that the world is ending. I don’t think it’s hitting people as hard now as it was at the beginning of the pandemic, but like come on
