What’s a Doop-Doop? Seriously, what is it? Is it a song? A place? Something you put in a salad or idk!? It sounded so vague okay! And the episode description for it didn’t help at all! But then again most of these svtfoe eps don’t anyway, so let’s see what this “Doop-Doop” thing is all about!:
*Doop-Doop-Eclipsa is accepted as the official queen of Mewni with Globgor by her side and together ruling with their little princess, Meteora! The Mewmans and Monsters have put aside their differences, everyone is happy and all is well. No more drama! Phew! Well, that took a long time, but at last it’s over with and now Star can finally get some R&R and not bury herself in politics again.
Star and Tom are planning their couples trip as Tom mentioned in “Cornonation” (with a book by Eclipsa’s sailor father, Alphonse The Worthy (the voice that was confirmed to be calling to Marco in “Blood Moon Ball”), and his book, Atlas of the Universe) and they say a good-bye to Marco and Janna who are finally going back to Earth. Marco did everything already:became a squire (“Lint Catcher”), got the respect of all the rebel princesses as Turdina (“Princess Turdina”), celebrated Stars Quinceanera (“Stump Day”), saved Mewni, again (“Divide”/“Conquer”), saved his dragoncycle, Nachos (“Ransomgram”), had a “relationship” with Kelly (“Kelly’s World”-“A Boy and His DC-700XE”), “fixed” his awkward feelings for Star (“Curse of the Blood Moon”) and finally became knight (“The Knight Shift”). He’s done it all! And Janna.................well, she’s, um.................(crickets chirp). Well, we don’t why she was there other than being an audience favorite, but she was still fun to see and despite not having a purpose, kinda helped with the gang, so yeah. They’ve had enough and now it’s time for them to go back home. As Marco promised in “The Knight Shift” he’ll come on occasion to visit and not just leave forever like in “Scent of a Hoodie”.
Before Tomstar could leave, Star goes around saying good-bye to everyone cuz she’ll be gone for God knows how long to find some direction in her life. She’s no longer a blue blood with no title or authority whatsoever and completely unimportant in regal matters, so to find out what her new goal in life is, she goes on a wanderlust. Let’s all say good-bye! Good-bye Queen Eclipsa and King Globgor! Glad to see you guys aren’t evil and are just sweet romantics! Star helped you guys a lot! From trying to find your assassin (“Yada Yada Berries”), making an alliance with the Spiderbites (“Surviving the Spiderbites”) and getting Mewni to like you guys (“Cornonation”). Good-bye Pony Head! Sure you can be a selfish b**** at times, but you always come through for Star! Helping her with her destruction of St.Olgas (“St.Olgas School for Wayward Princesses”), learning you can have more than one best friend (“Sleepover”), getting along with Marco (“Pizza Thing”), warning her about Toms Demoncism (“Demoncism”), saving her from your psycho jealous sisters (“Ponymonium”) and making Eclipsa be popular (“Queen-Napped”). Good-bye Buff Frog! You’ve come a long way! Becoming allies with Star (“Storm the Castle”), having her babysit your kids (“Starsitting”), warning her about Ludo (“Raid the Cave”), helping her save Mewni (“Battle for Mewni”), being made Monster Expert (“Starfari”) and coming back to Mewni thanks to her! (“Cornball!”). Good-bye Ex.King and Queen of Mewni River and Moon! You guys were great! Seeing “the last” of Old Youthful (“Camping Trip”), doing everything to protect your precious baby girl (“Battle for Mewni”), teaching her not to be so impulsive (“The Bogbeast of Boggabah”) and siding with her on Eclipsas trail (“Butterfly Trap”). Although, *ahem* Moon! (whispers) You might wanna say a lil’ somethin’ somethin’ ‘bout a certain someone! Hmm! Is that it!? Did we get everyone!? Oh wait! Doop-Doop! Who the f*** is Doop-Doop!? Oh! Stars very first spell! Was this before she made that fiery rainbow that almost destroyed Mewni? (“Star Comes to Earth”). So that’s what a Doop-Doop is! Ah! I see, I see! He’s a living broom! And he looks like sh*t too! Poor guy (hisses through grind teeth), well, good-bye to you too, I guess (shrugs).
Oh! And a very special Good-bye-(record scratch) ENOUGH! STAR! We have like a million people in the show and you wanna say good-bye to every single character!? Who else is there!? Ludo!? The Spiderbites!? The ransomgram delivery monster!? The remains of what’s left of Toffee!? What!? Oh! I get it! She doesn’t wanna leave! She doesn’t know if a couples trip is what she needs to figure herself out and says she doesn’t wanna go. Tom gets upset by this and yes, he’s upset! No more mellow fellow! Tom has finally had it with Stars bullsh*t cuz he was trying to be a “good boyfriend” by keeping his cool and all of that was for nothing! You know what he has done? He tried to give Star space! (“Club Snubbed”), he tried to remove his demons! (“Demoncism”), he helped her with Buff Frog! (“Is Another Mystery”), he tried to help her save Mewni! (“Divide”/“Conquer”), he was cool with the Starco kiss despite being called by the fandom as a c**k! (“Lake House Fever”), he “fixed” her and Marcos Blood Moon curse! (“Curse of the Blood Moon”) and he tried to get a life so he won’t look too clingy! (“Junkin’ Janna”/“A Boy and His DC-700XE”), but did any of this make his relationship with Star better!? NO! It did not! Sure she was proud of him, but not enough to go on a couples trip! (is the spark gone!?). So he goes all Ross Geller on her saying he wants “a break”.
Well, he’s gone. Now Stars just by herself. She can’t go back to Eclipsa or her folks or even her trip, so where is she to go now?...............*Knock! Knock!* Hey Diazes! Your favorite former foreign exchange student is back! Oh! And guess what!? Marco Jr. Mariposa is there too! Yes folks, the baby’s born! And 💖it’s a girl!💖 Thing is, I saw the upcoming plots for next weeks episodes and it was said that Marcos new sibling was in fact a girl. That’s why I said “sibling” in my review of “The Knight Shift”, I found out around that time (ultrasound sonograms are usually accurate on gender 90% of the time, but the other 10, your guess is as good as the quacks). Welcome to the show, Mariposa! *cough*it’sSpanishforbutterfly*cough*youmaketheconnections*cough*. This is where Star belongs ღ.
Everyone’s gotta purpose in life. Marco will head on off to college and find his calling, Tom will be king of the Underworld some day, Janna will um............uh..............(crickets chirp)................well idk, but she won’t care cuz she’s got a lot goin’ on for her, but Star, what is her purpose? Hmm? What is she gonna do with her life? She’s no longer a princess, she’s not the queen anymore, idk why she doesn’t wanna go back to raising warnicorns like how she mentioned back in “Mr.Candle Cares”, but that was back when she was irresponsible (and before her character development), so now she’s just lost. Mewni is in good hands with Eclipsa and Globgor and then later, Meteora, her parents are cool with the Yurt, but Star doesn’t think it’s what she’ll call home (even if she’s better off without her folks) and this wanderlust was not what Star needed. Sorry Tommy. What Star needed was somewhere she felt more at ease, somewhere where she was free to do whatever she wanted without a care in the world, somewhere where she............................................................................🎶can call this place home🎶That was the Diaz Residence! Her second family. Now they have Mariposa! Funny, I thought maybe we’d get a “race to the hospital episode” where Star and Marco has to hurry and see the birth of the new baby and go through all kinds of crazy obstacles to get there fast, but the baby’s here, so (shrugs) Eh! The Diazes loved Star no matter what, they accepted her, they loved her antics, her magic, her everything! They threw a party for her for each day she was on Earth (“The Other Exchange Student”), she gave them a travel trip to Mewni (“Diaz Family Vacation”), wanted to help save Marco with her (“Storm the Castle”), getting her a hammer she was desperate to find (“Red Belt”), saving her and everyone else’s life (“Hungry Larry”) and helping her save Marco again (“Marco Jr.”). Now, it’s Season 1 all over again, the good times when it was fun and wacky and best of all, where Marco is ;).
