It was just a local coffee shop type of deal that my church put on. They invited a few bands and other people did acts and they sold coffee and baked goods to raise money to help pay for schooling for children in a missionary-run school in India. It was good.

Oh, and thank you for your kind comments on my senior picture earlier. I quite like the suit, the glasses added in a bit of silliness, and my hair just does what it does. It is so difficult to control sometimes, but I thought it looked nice.

What about Thanksgiving? The day to be be thankful for what you have. And the Macy’s Thankgiving Day parade that’ll be coming… And having Thanksgiving dinner… I’m just saying, you’re still looking forward to Thanksgiving too, right?
I'm German, remember? This is an American holiday. We do have our own type of Thanksgiving earlier than Americans, but it is not the same thing. I had never celebrated until I got to the U.S., and I am going home for Mama and Papa's wedding the week of Thanksgiving break, although the school is having a Thanksgiving feast the Friday before. I look forward to the food, but it is not so much a big deal to me.
Nonetheless, I hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving!
