for ur dorm, have u considered getting a wall hook hanger thingy (not sure what they're actually called omfg but u know. the thingy u hang clothes on that r like little knobs or hooks. or the stands if u prefer!!)? you can find super cute ones now whether its individual or connected ones (i have some that r just like. chairs n its super cute) that could serve 2 make an otherwise boring wall/wardrobe door super fun. ull probably also be glad of the extra space for when ur too lazy for laundry :D

yeah!!! i know what u mean im def looking into things to consolidate closet space as much as possible so all hacks are appreciated

One thing I love about living in the dorms is learning the tenants characters through their music. And when they sing.

Oh for decorating dorms I've always liked putting up posters and sometimes small desk toys. The posters can be anything you like and I feel like they make the room feel more personal, if you don't want to get posters, you can also print photos and hang those up or hang them up on a corkboard if you really like. With corkboards you can also hang up important information, like reminders or dates. Getting some plants and nice pillows or sheets can be good too. Mirrors are super helpful too!

For my dorm I got a nice little bright blue and green rug and it actually made a huge difference :) also get sheets/blankets/pillows that you enjoy the look of! It’ll help personalize the space a lot more than if you just have plain white sheets. I also recommend bringing some little knick knacks and framed photos for your desk, and you should get a lamp if you can!! <3

i recommend plants plants plants! hanging plants totally make the mood sooo much nicer in the room (if you can hang plants, that is. but if not just get some pretty pots!) i also think wood is the greatest material for furniture, like anything earthy makes my dorm room feel so much more comfortable and homey :3

too true these are great tips!! i have a wooden desk and side table and i’m def trying to incorporate those tones and i love plants i think they’d be such a cute addition!! thank u nonny <333

Ok about dorm decorations - fairy lights for sure they make everything happy and are great lighting for watching movies. Other than that I got a poster set from “archive Sunday” they have different themes and the posters are really beautiful. I think you can get similar things on Etsy as well but just having a cohesive set of posters feels homey

ooh thank you i was for sure considering fairy lights!! i want the space to feel warm and not abrasive with lighting, and the rest (posters, art etc) will fall together from there :))

I’m always so worried my apartment has a funky smell (because I have a dog) that it’s so validating when a student tells me it smells good from just standing by my door.
