#dosing issues

My pharmacy gives me 1ml bottles and my dose is .25ml so that's supposed to last me 4 weeks. Yet I've already used up the vial and it's been 3 weeks. I just put a request in at the pharmacy so I'll be a couple days late on my dose no biggie, but is there anything I can do to avoid this in the future? I'm very confident I've been doing .25ml so this came as a big surprise I'm short a week

you can draw up the dose and pull it all the way back into the syringe, measuring it against the side of the wall from air bubble , including air, to make sure that you’re not over-drawing it including what is measured up in the plastic part of the base of the needle (the hub).  0.25ml is quite a lot to accommodate in a needle hub (even accounting for the drip stuck inside the vial that is nearly impossible to draw up).  It can help to have smaller sized syringes (1ml for example instead of 3ml, if you’ll be sticking with doses under 1ml while you’re on T), so you have less hub waste.
