I've no clue what this show is about (aside from the art and gifs I've seen floating around) but I do know two things:

This show has some connection/has done a crossover with Ben 10 at some point

Knowing your taste in characters, this character holds massive amounts of angst in the show and you fw that hard and honestly, I can respect that.

why wouldn't fi/nnrey end up canon? i left tlj thinking there would be a love triangle but finn would be with rey in the end

I don’t think Finn will end up with Rey because I think his place will be with whatever comes after the Resistance, and her place will be with whatever replaces the Jedi. 

It’s really interesting because TFA spent so much energy setting up Rey, Kylo and Finn as really closely tied together, with Finn and Rey physically together, then slowly getting closer and closer into Kylo’s familial orbit, and then TLJ broke that apart, separating Rey and Finn physically (although they clearly think about each other when they’re apart), and furthermore pairing Rey with Kylo/Ben and Finn with Rose. It’s only during this separation that Rey and Finn are able to grow: Rey by getting closer to Ben (first though the Force Bond, then physically on the Finalizer), dealing with her own past and power and learning about his struggles, and Finn by becoming friends with Rose and learning about her family’s struggle (the importance of family again) against the FO, and how he can have a place in that struggle too. 

They meet again at the end of course (there’s that beautiful hug when she rescues them out of the cavern) but I don’t believe they speak, and they’re immediately separated again. The last time we see them Finn is off taking care of Rose, and Rey is sitting with Leia (Kylo’s mom), holding the broken pieces of the legacy Skywalker lightsaber (Kylo’s, once upon a time), and she’s presumably thinking about him, too.

I’m sorry but this is not how you set up a romantic relationship, and it’s not how you set up a love triangle either. Finn is a vital, important character for this trilogy but he is not important because he’s going to be Rey’s love interest. He is not and never has been Rey’s love interest, because that’s not where he belongs. Hope this makes sense.

(Probably doesn’t hurt to add that I ship Finnreylo b/c it’s hot and I like the dynamic and not b/c I think it’ll ever be canon, although I am praying for at least one snarky scene between Ben and Finn b/c that would be really awesome.)

Just a fun fact regarding the whole Aegis/Secundus thing: knowing Tomix/Dove, that shit probably isn't just a coincidence, it's probably done to represent how Aegis is the trustworthy ally, while Secundus is the literal fusion of two backstabbing bastards.

i'm kinda curious to know if it's like, the EXACT SAME colors? like did dovetomix just invert aegis and use that as a palette or did he do a close approximation?

ooooh, hello, hello!! you’re my first ask here, ty! *throws glitter in your face*

anyway, I don’t really think it’s stupid! if I ever said that it was probably to just express my annoyance - like when I say ‘sombody kill me’ i don’t actually want that lol. Jacqueline is perfect in any way, there’s nothing stupid about her and I will fight anyone who will say otherwise!

on a serious note: I think my frustration comes from a place of deprivation. like you said under one of my gifsets, Jacqueline is a happy, successful woman who doesn’t bring people down and genuinely enjoys life! but her being straight is quite predictable. I haven’t posted any gifs from season finale yet (cause I’m still not ready, too emotional), so all of the ones I did were from episodes before so I tried to find something ‘tragic’ about her, I guess you can say. I think because of how society looks at being gay as a struggle I was looking for something in Jacqueline that would make her more relatable to me, more real, therefore broken, cause she must have gone through some hardships to get where she is now, right? (again, now we know one, major thing she had to deal with). 

also, it would be nice to see a woman in power to also be gay, cause hey! we are here, and we want to be successful too. then again, some might say “hey, what about Kadena? there’s your lesbian relationship, stop stealing our straight characters!”. okay, but notice how Adena has problems with passport and getting a visa and Kat wants to be with her, then she doesn’t and then she does again (dear god, don’t get me wrong they are amazing and we have been blessed and I will ship them until my last breath!) but I, personally, am so tired of only being able to relate to characters who have to be struggling, and work for it etc. 

I want easy. I want some cheesy bullshit that straight people get: I want women running after women to the airports, I want men stopping weddings cause the love of their life is about to marry a wrong person, I want lgbtq+ representation in all those ridiculous scenarios to cause I want to for a second just forget my life is crap and I'm “different”. you guys have Cat Grant, Regina Mills, Miranda Pristley, Diane Lockhart, Ally McBeal, Olivia Benson - all these strong women who main plots were broken hearts, not hate crime and coming out. I want someone to come to me and say: “here, there’s this woman who has it all figured out, never felt helpless and she is strong and independent and goddamn happy. you can be her when you grow up”. that’s my main point, I guess.

I think I look at this show from a writers point of view and I’m just making it more relatable to my lifestyle and my values, you know? but Jacqueline is a perfect petal, straight or not, definitely not stupid. sorry if I offended you, promise I didn’t mean it!
