wada sez: Crosshairs’ bio by Bob Budiansky notes that he “won’t take a shot unless he’s sure he can’t miss”, with his motto being “don’t shoot until you see the wires in their eyes”, so this is a strip about Crosshairs waiting for the perfect shot. In light of Prowl’s typical characterisation, it’s odd to see him siding against Crosshairs’ utilitarian outlook here, though Pirrie tried to justify it on deviantART by saying: “Logic doesn't apply to gut feelings. Crosshairs was going with his gut, but Prowl's logic dictates that the same shot could have been made before the squad was wiped out.” Anyway, as we’d hope from Ed Pirrie, this strip is chock full of obscure European characters and Generation 2 nobodies; he noted that “I put Lightspeed in there because he was staring at me from the shelf at the time.” Naturally, he sees the character as Lightspeed, as he was known in Europe, rather than Braver, as he was originally called in Japan.
