Double Glasses - from Hoteri Hotette First Kiss by Coco Uzuki
Coco Uzuki has recently become a rising star in the world of manga due to the smash success of her first serialized work, Fall In Love, You False Angels, which quickly got published in other languages (including the English version, which just came out today) and is already rumored to have an anime adaptation in the works.
the success of False Angels also led to the licensing of her previous work, Hoteri Hotette First Kiss, an anthology of four short stories centered around the magic of a couple’s first kiss. It’s a nice, fun little book, and all four of the stories have their own charm, but Double Glasses was my personal favorite. it’s already evident that Uzuki likes writing a certain “type” of male lead, so Mikoshiba stood out as a stoic-seeming guy who’s actually sweet and easily flustered, a character type i would frankly love to see more of, lol
