DOUBLE LP // PRELIMINARY LAYOUTS
Early shell work for the Signal // Noise double LP. Not final art — just getting the bones in place while the record is still mutating. Think of these as temporary housings for a moving signal: sleeves as scaffolding, labels as placeholders, typography as a test-chamber.
What’s changed since the earlier renders: the track titles have shifted into a more obscure naming system — hex, operators, redactions, braille, offsets. Less “song title,” more artefact label / protocol readout / misrecognised caption line.
It felt right to let the vinyl behave like a decoding exercise. APD-adjacent. Misinterpretation-as-medium. Human hearing routed through machine language, then back again — digital/analogue interference as a kind of grammar.
Input ≠ Comprehension. Output ≠ Resolution. So the titles don’t resolve either.
I’ll reference the original working names in Process Zine #00 later — because that’s the translation layer. The lab notes. The subtitles to the object.
State of play: Pass 04 on the tracks. Aside from one or two still being refined, most are now ready to go through Between Lines for alternate SRT/image/sonification routes (we’ll see what falls out of that machine).
Current durations:
Side A (Signal): ~39 mins

These titles aren’t hiding meaning for the sake of it — they’re what meaning looks like inside interference. A tracklist that behaves like the rest of the project: half human memoir, half system log, always in translation.
More soon. Still listening. Still revising. Still letting the noise talk back.
