Glimmer grows up not knowing Bow but Double Trouble is their friend.
You can do the same thing for Catra where they never know Adora growing up but DT is there friend since childhood..
Those are really interesting. Who would Catra and Glimmer be without the moral centre of their friend, but without loosing the friendship, comradely (and love?).
They would both get into a lot more trouble growing up, that's for sure (also, Glimmer would be into theater)
