What happened to my story...

It used to be the adventures of the backseat snarker and the cheerful idealist, as they gleefully banter their way across the desert lands.

Now it's turning into this dark, edgy tale of betrayal and trust and truth and personal demons, as they race against the clocks of their own making, fighting against the inevitable as they struggle to come to terms with themselves and each other...

In other words, it's becoming actually interesting and deep! :D
