My theories for Ward this season

Ok so Ill be so mad if im wrong and thanks to the AOS writers I have been wrong since the end of season one but here are my theories about Grant Ward that hopefully will come full circle come the end of this season or more hopefully midseason. 

#1 Grant Ward is Hellfire. First of all we all know is true love is Skye and they are endgame. I dont believe anything else, I will go down with the skyeward ship if I must. He is a victim and tried to get rid of his abusers by fire as a kid before he was taken under his ex SO’s wing. Then he goes back and finished the job as far as we knew when he was finding himself last season. Now he said he was a pyro as a kid. He also dresses like Hellfire, and Hellfire was Quakes love in the comics. How many clues do you need people! Now the monolith piece reacted to him- he has to be inhuman. 

#2 Ward is under either extrememly deep deep cover or he has his own agenda that benefits shield. Grant always! has a purpose in everything he does and he know that Coulson and the old team were the only ones who ever truly cared for him. Now he is as close to doscovering and taking down the most powerful head of hydra and their secrets than anybody ever has before. He could end the battle if he wanted and has had no issue killing known Hydra people but still lets old Shield go. He could have easily killed Hunter, May, Andrew, any of them even Bobby. Come on hes famous for execution style head shots and he knows what shots will kill and what will take out of action for awhile. He knew that gas wouldnt kill Andrew in this episode and he didnt take down the entire plane as well. He could have but didnt. Hes too smart for his own good and he still sounds like he wants to kill them to everybody but them. He told May to her in the wearhouse if she dropped her gun he would let her go. I believed him, he said he wouldnt lie to them anymore and he really hasnt for the most part. Hes selective. He could of killed Fitz/Simmons instead he gave them their best chance. I think he knew 33 was evil deep down and took her out knowing it was her.  He always has a hidden agenda, and I think its for the good of all. he knew he could destroy Hydra how far he was in and unfortunaetly he has to make really bad choices to get what needs to be done, done. There are so many little clues and hints I could go on forever,

I was rewatching the episode The Hub and noticed that they use it on episode 17 to dismantle the bus's weapons. Anybody else notice this?

Agent Ward Speculations (Have a little Faith)

I know there are alot of people that hate Ward now or believe he truly is Hydra. Well I think even if he is Hydra he won't be that way for long, Coulson's team has become the family he never really had.Also his actions to protect Skye are more than evident, he has proven he will do whatever is neccessary to ensure her safety even if that includes him killing for her.  Garrett may be his S.O but Coulson truly cares for him. Instead of believing he is a Hydra agent I saw way to many clues that point to him being a double agent for Coulson or he has been brainwashed. Also Agent Hand could still have been Hydra even though she said she was SHIELD

 These are some of my reasons why I speculate these scenario's throughout the season, up to episode 17, Turn Turn Turn. 

How angry Ward got when Skye had been the one double crossing them for her ex-boyfriend and  the Rising Tide.

When Ward held the berzerker staff, his memories of the well are so integrated within him, he wouldn't serve a tyrant.

Also his relationship truly began to grow with Skye after this encounter. 

The Clairvoyant has a brainwashing machine that he used on both Coulson and Raina.

As his feelings and need to protect Skye grows he ends up saving her from Quinn's mansion, becoming her S.O, Has been completely enraged when he couldn't save her when she was shot, he said he would never forgive Mike Peterson for letting that happen. He is part of the mission to save her life, as he is destrought beyond compare when he finds there is nothing that the medical doctors can do. He reveals his feelings for her to Lorelei. He shoots nash when he threatens her, he saves her from gunfire, explosions, all the while finally admitting his feelings to her and why he doesn't regret killing the clairvoyant because he would do whatever is necessary to protect her. Then he truly felt regret when he found out he killed an innocent man. 

Garrett himself told Skye that Ward was not the same man he trained. He told her that he now had something for fight for, for someone to fight for. 

When Coulson drags May into the cell, he is furious at the thought of her being a double agent.

Coulson already was suspecting that ward was ordered to kill nash, then when Ward found out Garrett was the clairvoyant he pulled him aside, and he has a look of sheer shock. then as he left to escort Garrett to the plane, he nodded at Coulson who was in the corner, then they locked eyes and coulson nodded back. 

Triplett talking about killing the clairvoyant, Ward not agreeing until he asked him what would he be thinking if Skye had died

Ward said Nash pushed all the right buttons

Hand redirecting the plane to the hub, kill everyone on bored except Coulson, even Garrett before he was outed.

Agent triplett said agent hand seemed to be keeping everyone busy as shield fell, victoria Hand said when the encoded message went out everything changed, she couldnt control garretts plane so she tried to shoot him down. She said if your loyalty waivers your dead, she knew  hydra’s history. no shield agent knew that. She said level 8 and up were hydra and those who werent were crossed off. 

Overall Ward is truly himself around Skye, at the end of 17 when Hand asked him if he cared to shoot the real Clairvoyant, and he turned around on her... he was not himself he was almost a zombie, it wasn't rage or happiness... it was something else all together. After everything that happen he wouldn't let the person who tried to kill Skye stay alive, he would do anything including going undercover to do what is needed, hes a specialist he makes the hard calls. Also Garrett's last episode is 18 and its not even close to the finally. There are so many other reasons but in the end we all must have a little Faith in Ward.
