I’m going to rant because, on instagram, I got shit from someone who was talking about how double eyelid surgery was from white people controlling beauty standards in South Korea. And tell this person that it’s entirely ethno-centric to assume it’s about “looking like white people” and “white people oppressing asians by imposing white beauty standards on them”, all I get is “you’re just an ignorant whitey” Seriously, fuck people sometimes. Just because I’m white doesn’t mean I haven’t studied the fuck up on other cultures and their attitudes.
