And just because this week is a bigot-o-rama-fest...
My work email somehow got on the subscription list for the Minuteman Project's ("Bringing national awareness to the illegal alien invasion.") newsletters. (Can we keep in mind that I run a Supplier Diversity program for a Fortune 500 company?) And the email address provided for the unsubscribe portion of today's festivities was returned undeliverable so I went online and found as many email addresses inside that organization as possible and sent them all:
I did not subscribe to your emails. I never had one of your emails forwarded to me. I am nowhere near your target audience for this sort of communication and, further, find your entire organization completely repugnant. Please never contact me again.
I've envisioned every possible way this could eventually bite me in the ass professionally and decided I'm ok with each and every one of them. What I really want to know is how I got on that list to begin with. Unfortunately, my work contact info is readily available in many databases for diversity, federal contracting, and others so I'll probably never know.
