Dear Evan Hansen West End 6/11
•First time seeing the show live and just damnnn. Go see it. Lighting gave me thrills
•I love the stage set up-all the social media stuff emphasising the connection/spread of information to the tranquility of the orchard at the end
• Sam Tutty(Evan) is an absolute god. Seriously, he embodies Evan so perfectly. He really showed the anxiety the start, stuttering and fiddling with his shirt and twisting away from others so naturally. Really reminded me of myself like that. And Damn what a voice- like honey, a perfect transition from soft to loud at the perfect moments.
•I was dubious about Doug Colling as Connor, but he really grew into the role. You could have heard a pin drop in the “how did you break your arm?” bit. Yep he just had good Connor energy
•The audience went wild for Sincerely, me and for good reason....just such a bop, I kept grinning
•instead of punching him on Sincerely Me Connor pats his shoulder and Evan dusts his frantically in return
•Bex McInnis was super as Heidi, at first I wasn’t sure if she’d suit it but the emotion in her voice as she yelled at Evan and with the Murphys was amazing.
•Plus just all of So big, So small
•Jack Loxton as Jared has my heart, really gave of the meme troll vibes but also a lot of insecurity and emotion? His “fuck you Evan, asshole” was impeccable...you could pinpoint his heart breaking
•Oof Requiem, Cynthia hugging Connor’s pillow and Zoe scrunching up the emails
•Lucy as Zoe was generally really good, a really beautiful voice, and wardrobe gave her some good outfits
•Jared telling Evan to nod and agree resulting in him frantically nodding at the Murphy’s the first time
•Connor and Evan literally almost kissed in Sincerely, me before the “but not because we’re gay” line before pulling away lol
•Evan’s speech omg....literally crawled backwards and started hyperventilating while staring at the audience
•Larry’s bit in YWBF gets me every time, he collapsed and hugged Cynthia round the waist

•it’s kinda implied that Zoe and Evan had sex which is disturbing...they end up lying on the bed in Only us
•Heidi’s reactions to everything in act 2 ahh
•Heidi also pretending to enjoy the Murphy’s wine
•Good for you. That’s it.
•Once Evan started crying that was it for me also his tears were so genuine I love Sam
•The finale had me bawling, so beautiful. Keep thinking about how I found this show when I was in such a bad spot and how it helped
•The cast were so amazing at stage door, got to meet everyone except Cynthia
•When I was getting a picture with Sam Jack came and kissed his cheek saying he loved the show etc haha
