Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 2 large eggs. 1/2 cup whole milk. 2 tsp vanilla extract. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1/2 cup vanilla custard store-bought or homemade. Oil for frying. Powdered sugar for dusting.
Instructions: Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl and stir in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Blend thoroughly. Once a dough forms, pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir. Place the dough onto a surface dusted with flour and roll it out to a thickness of 1/2 inch. To cut out doughnut shapes, use a round cookie cutter or a doughnut cutter. Using a smaller cutter, create holes in the center. In a deep pan, heat the oil to 350F 175C. Drop the doughnuts gently into the heated oil and cook for two to three minutes on each side, or until golden brown. To get rid of extra oil, remove the doughnuts and drain on paper towels. Pour vanilla custard into a piping bag, then insert the tip into each doughnut to squeeze a small amount of custard into the center. Before serving, sprinkle some powdered sugar over the doughnuts.
