Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup buttermilk. 1 large egg. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs. 1/4 cup mini marshmallows. 1/4 cup chocolate chips. Oil for frying. For the Chocolate Glaze:. 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips. 2 tablespoons heavy cream. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 tablespoon crushed graham crackers optional, for garnish. 1 tablespoon mini marshmallows optional, for garnish. 1 tablespoon chocolate chips optional, for garnish.
Instructions: Combine the flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, baking powder, and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl. Mix the egg, melted butter, vanilla extract, and buttermilk in a separate bowl. Mixing until just combined, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and graham cracker crumbs. Heat oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius in a deep fryer or large pan. Spoonfuls of doughnut batter should be carefully dropped into the hot oil using a piping bag or a spoon. Fry for two to three minutes, turning once, or until golden brown and thoroughly cooked. After taking the doughnuts out of the oil, place them on a plate covered with paper towels to catch any leftover oil. Regarding the Chocolate Glaze: Mix the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and chocolate chips in a bowl that is safe to use in the microwave. Once the chocolate is completely melted and the glaze is smooth, microwave the mixture for 20 seconds at a time, stirring after each minute. Let any excess chocolate glaze drop off each doughnut as you dip it in. While the glaze is still wet, garnish with chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and crushed graham crackers, if desired. Before serving, let the glaze settle for a few minutes. Savor your mouthwatering S'Mores Doughnuts!
