all you true crime accounts fetishizing/glorifying Nickolas Cruz can go play in heavy traffic and get hit by a burning semi truck
I'm sacred guys. The Douglas High shooting was about an hour away from my school. From my home. Its different like this, realizing that instead of being states away, this has happened in my home. And in the so called 'safest city in Florida'. Where I live is definitely not the safest city. One of the most unsafe, actually. It just seems like if it can happen there, this close to us then there's nothing stopping it from happening to us.
I shouldn't have to be scared going to school. I shouldn't have to flinch every time someone yells, or feel the need to get down when someone drops something. I shouldn't feel anxious whenever there's a visitor on campus. But I do. We all do.
I also shouldn't have to cry with my favorite teacher because she cares about our class so much that the thought of any of us getting hurt terrifies her. But I did.
There have been threats to schools in my county, mostly kids being dumb because they have nothing better to do. Or they don't know how else to deal with what they feel. There are boys in our hallways who yell "everybody get down!" Just to freak everyone out. I'm worried that if something real happens we'll all think its another joke until its too late.
This is about to get real! 16 Fred Ives 11-ish Douglas Huth and an assortment of other random succulent leaves. I'll post updates about this tray.
