Day 330 Log On!
Douglas Family Preserve; Santa Barbara, CA
Diana + Tim ~ Destination Engagement Session, at the Douglas Preserve & Knapp's Castle...
I'm so excited about this post, and the next. It's the first time I will consecutively post an engagement session and a wedding, of the same couple. So, stay tuned...their wedding will be blogged tomorrow!
Throughout the course of both events, they helped me create some remarkable images. I love the fact that they didn't think they'd be good in front of the camera :) Ha!
I loved this couple, from the moment we had coffee together, at Peet's...I could tell how in love they were, and that is all that mattered. They were so appreciative of my ability to capture love, so it was smooth sailing from there. It didn't take long to calm their nerves...there's something about being photographed, while in a celebration of love...I believe it's difficult to look bad, when so in love!
I have a special place in my heart for these images, for another reason, as well. The magnificent tree they kissed beneath, at the Douglas Preserve...the tree that is on the edge of a cliff...unfortunately, that tree is no longer there. We lost that tree on a windy night, but these images of Diana and Tim will help that tree live forever :)
Kristiana and Dave | The After Shoot | Santa Barbara Wedding Photography -
I'm in love with this session.
We began at the Trinity Episcopal Church, moved on to the Douglas Preserve, and ended with night shots at the Mission.
I might just start recommending "After Shoots" to everyone! While every day should be a celebration of love, this session gave Kristiana and Dave the chance to hold onto that "wedding experience" a little longer.
We celebrated their love, without the pressure. They were able to spend more time with the guests, at their actual wedding, and now they have plenty of that "Wall Art," they so desired.
Oh, and by the way, the fifth image is my new favorite bridal portrait. Love a strong woman! :)
