Advice for Remy, Day 131. You’ll always have down days, everyone does. No matter how old or young you are, whether you’re rich or poor, whether you’re generally happy-go-lucky or a bit of a grouch, you’ll always have those days when you just feel a little bit meh. Everybody has them. The sort of day when you can’t can’t find the motivation to properly get going, and you feel that gravity has been increased around the chair you’re sitting in. The sort of day when the sky threatens to break out into sun and blue skies but just never manages to wipe away the grey. The sort of day when you can’t for the life of you seem to find the thing you’re looking for, or the cat smashes a glass by knocking it off the table, or the cordless vacuum just runs out of charge before you’ve finished the final room of the house. The sort of day where you lack energy and motivation and find yourself caning through fifteen episodes of a crappy series you’re not sure you even like. The sort of day when all of a sudden it’s 5pm and you realise that the grand total of your daily achievements has been to move the stack of washing up from one place to another (without ever actually putting any in the dishwasher) and to refill the toilet roll. But it’s on these days that you need to remember - they’re not all like this. Everyone feels a bit glum and demotivated and lost sometimes - especially at the moment with us all spending so much time at home, and with so much uncertainty around. But it doesn’t last. The clouds clear, the motivation returns, the sun shines and you’re back to yourself before long. So allow yourself to feel crap - let your mind wallow, regroup, and come back brighter than ever. Tomorrow’s always another day.
