I also think that, if Loki truly is dead, there's a good chance they might go fetch his soul out of Hel in a fourth Thor film. CH has already said he'd be interested in doing another film. They purposefully showed Hela phasing out of the way of Surtur's sword in T:R, as opposed to dying. Thor mentioned Hel by name in IW. And then Marvel could cackle that yes, he really WAS dead before proceeding to bring him back again.

o_______o  that would be my ideal world, LET ME TELL YA.

After the initial pain passed, however, looking at it began to give me comfort? I hope it does the same for you, in time... I was able to see how brave Loki was, how he exhausted all his options, how he looked to Thor for comfort... It was probably as good a death as we could have expected. Not to mention, ~5% of me still thinks he's not truly dead. There were some strange lines in there, like the emphasis on "undying" and the "I promise you, brother, the sun will shine on us again" lines.

I somehow missed those final lines when reading spoilers. Explain? o.o; 

And yes, it was of great comfort to me too.
