To anyone confused: April 3rd 2004 is the anniversary of Danny Phantom, so a few years ago it was decided to make their own sort of Mishapocolypse in celebration with a smear frame that looks silly. I think this is like the fourth year in a row it’s trended at #1.
I'M LAUGHING I just saw a gifset with a bunch of DP ghosts that were confirmed to have once been LIVING PEOPLE in one way or another, with evidence to this in the show, and seeing that after the shit excuse that ghosts are all just creatures from a diff dimension...smh I'm still laughing

the funny thing about that dp post is that while, yeah, dissection does come up fairly regularly in the text in danny phantom, the show is generally somewhat lighthearted in tone. you can tell the creator wanted just a ‘normal’ superhero show and there were just a few writers who saw more potential there.
you watch invader zim, you can pretty easily guess the fandom’s gonna be a buncha fuckin weirdos. in danny phantom you’re a little more likely to get blindsided by ‘our fourteen year old plucky protagonist getting vivisected, usually by his own parents, is its own genre of fic actually’
I don’t actively participate in the phandom much anymore but seeing them immediately flipping butch’s terrible ideas into something actually usable is always great
as funny as kyle (and to some extent wes) are, I feel like the phandom shouldn’t make new characters until we start appreciating tucker more because wow for one of the main characters he sure seems to get left out a lot!
I’ve already seen people joke about shipping kyle with danny and it’s just.... kind of weird how danny/tucker has baaaaaarely been a thing I’ve ever seen. I admit I haven’t been in the phandom much recently, but I apparently still follow enough blogs to get a bunch of kyle content immediately and. uh. shipping danny with random background white boy #6 instead of his best friend is kind of weird, especially considering both wes and kyle are pretty much one-joke characters.
