“Listen” Lorelai began, picking at the muffin in front of her. “I knew going into this that it would be hard work. I was prepared for long nights, lack of sleep and an overflow of caffeine to keep me going.” she ran a hand through her hair, mussed it up more than it already was, and then sighed. “But are you ever really fully prepared for the bad days? The losing a patient, or not being able to help someone?” Lorelai then shook her head, and put another piece of muffin into her mouth. “I’m sorry, I’m being such a debbie downer, and so incredibly unprofessional. It just gets so intense sometimes, you know?”

Lorelai went to parties, though, she swore she did, despite her busy schedule, she managed to make it out to a few things. Leons party being one of them. She however, did not know many of the people there. She had a quiet nature, and a busy work schedule, and those two thing combined tended to leave her in the dark when it came to social gatherings unless she was actually invited or she had gone out to seek it herself, she was never a “heard it through the grapevine” kind of person. But that’s exactly how she ended up here, drinking from a solo cup full of rum and coke, listening to some dude blather on about something she couldn’t bother to listen to, when she spotted Devin, and she sighed in relief, heading over. “Thank whatever God you believe in, I thought I was going to have to fake a birth to get out of that conversation”

When Lorelai learned about the Halloween party, she was quick to RSVP. This was absolutely right up her alley. She had prepared a costume, and had high hopes that the haunted mansion would live up to its name, she was ready to let loose, have a few drinks, dance, and explore.  So far, the party was as expected, there were drinks flowing, good music playing, people were chattering and dancing, and take treks through the castle to find some of secret hidden inside. Lorelai loved it. Currently, she was standing near the bar with JJ, her fingernails tapping against the bar top as she waited for the shot glasses to be set in front of them “Okay, come on, do one shot with me and we’ll do some dancing” she coaxed. JJ needed a bit more loosening than she did, and she was determined to make sure he had a good time. “Then we’ll go drunk ghost hunting, it’ll be fun.” @jeremiahjcamacho
