Going through the Motions || Binks and Kanga
The morning was going particularly slow. Bianca couldn’t remember the last time she felt this weighed down when she woke up in the morning, but today she felt as if her arms were full of sand. She was tired beyond normal. Her head even felt heavier upon her shoulders, softly pounding as a headache pulsed a dull ache through her shoulders. This day was not starting well and she had only barely sat up. Climbing down the ladder from her top bunk, she missed the last rung and had to steady herself. She shook her head lightly, laughing at her own misstep. The rest of her morning routine went pretty much the same way, small mistakes that she brushed off to simple tiredness. Her small slip-ups could very easily be related to the weather changes and allergies coming out to play. Before heading off the campus, she took a small pain reliever in hopes of clearing some of the ache from her body. She couldn’t afford to miss class, let alone be sick.
As she walked towards the cafeteria for a nice healthy breakfast, she watched her surroundings. The greens were becoming more prominent. The birds were singing. Spring was coming and she was quite glad of it. Someone was walking towards her, and try as she might she couldn’t put a name with a face. Her mind drew a complete blank. It was a little weird for her to not know someone, usually if she didn't know a name she at least recognized the face from around campus. Smiling, she looked at the stranger. Unbeknownst to her, her greeting came to her mind slowly. Her eyes seemed to focus individually of one another, her left more quickly than her right. “Hello,” she smiled, though her glance which was only a mirror of its usual spark seemed to be dull to the outside world.
