i really like the headcanon that kamukura is kind of terrible at taking care of himself.

like, the idea that this “perfect” being with an innate understanding of his own perfection figures he’s so above humanity that he like. forgets to bathe. or brush his hair. it’s somehow very humanizing.

i was under the impression that izuru was like. An Actual person being implanted into hajime’s mind but having finished dr2 and am halfway done with dr3, that’s obviously not the case

hajime’s brain is still hajime’s alone, but with his core personality and memories removed in place of retaining all that talent info

this is why its important that hajime was “awakened” during case 6 in dr2 - chiaki was helping hajimes original personality to wake up inside his altered mind, to give “izuru” back the things that make him more than just loved by talent

it makes sense given the duality symbolism even in hajimes own design post-dr2 (with his eyes being heterochromatic). hajime becomes a person not defined by talent or lack there of (though he still has the things ‘izuru’ provides i assume) but by his newfound confidence in simply Being alive again and able to change the future to what he really wants...and not what hope or despair demand of him

I’ve been watching ANNJake’s stream of the english version of DRV3 - and I really gotta say that the english voices are much better than in DR2, which was a loooot better than DR1 (seriously the DR1 english voices are just...not good). In fact it’s only really Saihara’s voice that stands out as outrageously ill-suited and jarring. (so...the best japanese voice, go figure) And as much as Iruma sucks, her terribleness is almost amusing in english (or maybe its just because I’m already used to her) and it’s pretty funny hearing her say ‘fuck all y’all’’ as one of her flavour lines (she still the worst though) (What’s still more jarring than the voices is the decision to have everyone refer to eachother by their first names. The fact that this is what’s common in the west is irrelevant - probably like 1% of DanganRonpa players aren’t already anime fans, this isn’t something the audience isn’t used to or would be confused by) (ok that and the fact that hardly anyone can pronounce anyone’s name properly)
